Printable handwriting worksheet — English Cursive Foundations, Sentences and Pangrams

What this lesson teaches

The final test: complete sentences. A pangram uses every letter of the alphabet, so nothing you have learned goes unchecked.

Focus on the line as a whole — even word spacing, a steady baseline from the first word to the last, and consistent slant. When this feels natural, you are no longer practicing cursive. You are simply writing.

What is on the sheet

  1. Sentence: We can write.
    We can write.
A short full sentence: capital first, period last. Keep the spaces between words even.
  2. The Pangram
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
The classic sentence with every letter of the alphabet. Write it at a comfortable size, matching the line breaks of the model. This is your graduation piece.

How to use it

Print at 100% on US Letter — not “fit to page”. The ruling is classroom size, and scaling the page down makes every letter the wrong size. The 10 cm scale at the foot of the sheet is there to check against: if it measures short, the print was scaled.

The sheet holds 2 exercises, each with a model row in full ink, a pale row to trace over, and two empty ruled rows of your own.
